Drilling Rig Epiroc Simba S7 and Atlas Copco Simba S7D

Epiroc Simba S7 and Atlas Copco Simba S7D Drilling Rigs

The Simba S7D and Simba S7 are compact long-hole production rigs designed for underground mining in small to medium-sized drifts. The earlier Atlas Copco Simba S7D combines a boom-mounted unit, hydraulic top-hammer rock drill and Direct Control System (DCS), providing flexible positioning and reliable operation in confined underground areas.

After the Atlas Copco mining equipment business became part of the Epiroc brand, the Simba range continued with the modern Epiroc Simba S7. Both machines follow a similar compact production concept, while the newer S7 incorporates an updated platform, advanced control technology and a higher level of automation.
