Company History – Vikay

Indian company Vikay was established in 1962. From the outset it specialised in the production and supply of mining equipment, quickly becoming one of the leading manufacturers and exporters in the industry. Vikay has repeatedly received the international Achievers Award and is a member of the Indo-German Chamber of Commerce. Over the years the company has developed and introduced a wide range of equipment and components for mining enterprises, with a special focus on pneumatic tools and spare parts.

Key Milestones

• 1962 – Start of operations and launch of in-house production of pneumatic tools;
• 1970s – Expansion of equipment and spare parts exports to Asian and European countries;
• 1980s – Release of upgraded rock drill models for underground and surface works;
• 1990s – Launch of accessories and spare parts production for compressors, drilling rigs and ventilation equipment;
• 2000s – Expansion into equipment for tunnelling and bolting operations;
• 2020s – Supply of spare parts and solutions for Atlas Copco, Sandvik, Epiroc and other global brands.

Today Vikay manufactures and supplies pneumatic tools, compressors, spare parts and accessories for the mining industry, including the popular Simba Junior drilling rigs. The company’s equipment is known for its reliability, ease of maintenance and compliance with international quality standards.
