Rotary blasthole drill Epiroc Pit Viper 271
The Epiroc Pit Viper 271 is a high-performance rotary blasthole drill designed for single-pass drilling in surface mining operations. The machine supports both rotary tricone drilling and down-the-hole (DTH) methods, delivering reliable performance in demanding conditions across applications such as gold, copper, coal and iron ore mining.
With single-pass capability up to 16.8–18 m and hole diameters from 171 to 270 mm, the Pit Viper 271 delivers high productivity with pulldown force up to 311 kN and weight on bit up to 34 tonnes. The integration of the EARS (Electronic Air Regulation System) and a patented automatic cable tensioning system increases component life and reduces total operating costs.
