The Secoroc COP 44 Gold is a down-the-hole (DTH) hammer designed for efficient drilling in mining, quarrying, construction and water-well applications. Operating at the bottom of the drill string, the hammer delivers direct impact energy to the drill bit, ensuring stable performance and consistent penetration rates regardless of hole depth.

The hammer is engineered for reliable operation in demanding conditions, providing efficient energy transfer, reduced vibration and long service life when properly maintained.

Lubrication requirements

Proper lubrication is essential for reliable hammer operation. Recommended oil consumption is 0.3–0.5 l/h. When water injection is used, the dosage should be increased by 0.1–0.2 l/h.

Lubricating oil should provide good adhesion, high film strength and corrosion protection. Recommended viscosity:

• -20 to +15°C: ISO VG 46–100
• +15 to +35°C: ISO VG 100–150
• Above +35°C: ISO VG 150–220

Operation and maintenance

The hammer must always rotate clockwise during operation. Proper adjustment of feed force and rotation speed ensures smooth drilling, stable penetration and minimal wear.

Regular inspection of internal components, lubrication system and wear parts such as piston, cylinder and driver chuck is required to maintain performance and prevent failures.
